In the pursuance of his insatiable appetite for learning and higher education which he displayed as a student at Beersheba Elementary School, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies, Roy went on to advance himself scholastically by studying at Crescent College, University of Technology (UTECH), and University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies.

Roy’s hobbies, interests, and activities include: Cricket, Badminton, Swimming, and Reading. Roy is a member of the Rotary Club of Spanish Town in which he is a Past President.
