BOSA Announces Home Going of Anthony Glenmore “Gary” Atkinson – Vincent Samuels, ASC, BBA.

It is indeed with much sadness and deep regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announce the home going of Anthony Glenmore “Gary” Atkinson, age 57 years, Beersheba Primary School and Munro College Alumnus, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), South Carolina, USA on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:30PM.

Anthony who lived at his home in South Carolina, was admitted at the Medical University of South Carolina where he passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Whom he loved, worshipped and adored. He was surrounded by his seven surviving children and family at the time of his passing.

Anthony whose beloved Grandmother Margaret Dennis-Samuels, “Miss Meggy”, “Aunt Meg”, nurtured and raised him in poverty in the family home at “Mount Ease”, Flint Valley, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West indies, his father Cecil “Roy”, his beloved wife Lynette, his son Mark Anthony, predeceased him; leaves behind his mother Gloria Samuels-Muir, children Antionette, Romae, Jude, Joseph, Leah, Erika, Gloria and several nephews and nieces and other family members, Beersheba Primary School and Munro College Alumni in Jamaica and the Diaspora to grieve and mourn his loss.

Thanksgiving Service for the life of Anthony Glenmore “Gary” Atkinson will be held at Taylor Street Chapel, Leevy’s Funeral Home, 1831 Taylor Street, Columbus, South Carolina, USA  on Saturday, February 17, 2024 commencing at 1:00 pm. Interment will be done at Green Haven Memorial Gardens after the Thanksgiving Service.

I pass this way but once. Therefore, if there is any good deed that I can do to help the poor and needy and others who are in need; let me do it NOW for I shall never pass this way again.
