Bosa Announces The Home Going of Additional Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) Alumni

It is with much sadness and regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announces the home going of the following Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) Alumni:

Rachael Chambers, sister of Clarence Chambers former Tin Smith and Beersheba Primary Alumnus of  New Savannah, New Market, Saint Elizabeth.

James Lenford Cain “Son Son”, predeceased by his parents Charles Cain “Mass Charlie” and “Aunt Lor” of  Long Ground District, New Market, Saint Elizabeth.

The thoughts and prayers of all Beersheba Primary School Alumni in Jamaica and the Diaspora are with the family of the deceased as they mourn and try to cope with their loss.

Home Going Service for Mrs. Virie Smith-Colquhoun, Beersheba Primary School Alumna and Village Dressmaker and Shopkeeper – Vincent Samuels

Ms. VirieIt is with much sadness and regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announces the passing of Mrs. Virie Smith-Colquhoun “Miss Virie”, Beersheba Primary School Alumna and Village Dressmaker and Shopkeeper, initially from Flint Valley “Sky”, and Paynes Town, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies.

“Miss Virie” passed away at Black River Public General Hospital on Monday, May, 20, 2012 where her Doctor sent her for observation by the medical staff at the facility. Although “Miss Virie” has been ailing from natural causes for sometime, she was still a faithful and loyal member of Carmel Moravian Church, Westmoreland where she sang on the choir at the Thanksgiving Service for Rev, Noel Keith Monteith, O.D., J.P. on May 18, 2013.

Four tall coconut trees loaded with coconuts provided the backdrop to the hilly terrain on which Carmel Moravian Church, Westmoreland, Jamaica West Indies, boasting its German Gothic Architecture and buttresses punctuated with Greco-Roman Arched Stained Glass Windows and Wooden Doors made of hardwood that is termite free and has lasted for many years, stood as mourners from far and near, began filing into the sanctuary as early as 7.45 a.m. so as to ensure that they got the best seats.

Not to be out done were vendors in the church yard and also on the  Carmel Primary School grounds who staked out the best spots to peddle their wares...

God’s Loyal And Faithful Witness On The Football Field By Vincent Samuels

On page 13 of 15 of Volume 11, October 2012, writing under the above captioned headline, BOSA Newsletter introduced its readers to 24 year old New York Jets Quarterback and Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow.
When the news article appeared in BOSA Newsletter, Tim Tebow was wearing his No. 15 Jersey in the New York Jets as one of the most dynamic players in the National Football League (NFL) and a follower and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ who is known for sharing his Christian Faith openly and unhesitatingly.

It would appear as if the New York Jets couldn’t have hated Tim Tebow more. They dumped him on the first Monday after the NFL Draft knowing that the roster on other Major Football League will be filled and the chance of Tebow finding another job will be very bleak.
