Notwithstanding the absence of a representative from the School Board at Beersheba Primary  School (Government Leased) that did not accept the official invitation from Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) to partner with the Association to be part of the delegation that would attend the Infrastructure Committee of the Saint Elizabeth Parish Council that was held in the E. V. Allen Council Chamber on July 9, 2013, Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) wishes to report on the successful outcome of the delegation as follows:

First, the Association in acquiescing to the 5 minutes slot that the Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee allowed the sole representative from the Association to speak on matters mentioned in letter dated June 20, 2013 addressed to the Secretary Manager, Saint Elizabeth Parish Council, informed the Chairman of the Committee that BOSA was attending the meeting to speak in the interest and welfare of students that attend Beersheba Primary school (Government Leased).

Second, the Association wishes to state for the records, that the absence of a representative from the School Board at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) is tantamount to the culture of silence, secrecy, non-response, and pussy-footing that continue to be shown to Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) in performing its role as a vibrant and vigilant Stakeholder and Community Based Organization (CBO) at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased).

Third, referring to the news article captioned: Assistance Is Urgently Needed From All Beersheba Primary School Alumni, Honorary BOSA Members, Friends, And Well-Wishers In Jamaica And The Diaspora To Renovate The Main Entrance To Their Alma Mater that was sent as an addendum to the letter addressed to the Secretary Manager, Saint Elizabeth Parish Council and is also posted on BOSA website, the Association will pursue the three items specified in the document referred to herein.

Response From The Chairman Of The Infrastructure Committee To Representation Made By Beersheba Old Students Association  (BOSA)
In commending Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) for its zeal and interest that the Association has displayed in the matter, the Chairman and members of the Committee lambasted the School Board at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) for refusing to partner with the Association in seeking to remedy the unsatisfactory conditions affecting students at the school.

The Infrastructure Committee of the Saint Elizabeth Parish Council mandated Councillor Cyril Martin, Member Parish Council, New Market Parochial Division, Saint Elizabeth, to take appropriate action to bring together a meeting of the minds of members on the School Board at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased), the Technical Officer from the Saint Elizabeth Parish Council that is assigned to Councillor Martin’s Division, and Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) so as to arrange an on site meeting to discuss, formulate, and implement strategies that will remedy the unsatisfactory conditions that are inimical to the students who will return to school when the New School Year commences in September 2013.
