Managing Committee Of James Richard Educational Trust Fund Scoffed At Directive Given By Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education

Notwithstanding written directive that the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education gave to the School Board at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased), to reimburse Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) and Vincent Samuels for all expenditure incurred in connection with Shanisa Jones, grade 10C student at Saint Elizabeth Technical High School, Santa Cruz, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies,  a qualified beneficiary of James Richards Educational Trust Fund, the Managing Committee appointed by the School Board on the advice of Mrs.  Nadine Leachman, Regional Director, Region 5, Ministry of Education to manage and make disbursements from James Richards Educational Trust Fund, scoffed at the directive given by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education at its meeting that was held at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) on June 5, 2013 and in its defiance refused to settle outstanding claims amounting to JMD 360,340.00 and JMD 37,126.71 that is owed to Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) and Vincent Samuels respectively for period August 19, 2009 – March 07, 2013.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) has again sought the intervention of Dispute Resolution Foundation whom the Association has instructed to take whatever appropriate action it considers necessary – including litigation in which the goods and chattels of members of the School Board and the Managing Committee may be sold to recover cost which will include interest that the Court will calculate and apply to outstanding amounts owed to the parties mentioned herein.
