The long-awaited resurfacing of Beersheba/Flint Valley Parochial Road – the Cinderella of all Parochial Roads in New Market Parochial Division – has become a reality much to the relief of motorists, students, farmers and local church congregations who commute on this roadway.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) and other Stakeholders in the impoverished peasant farming districts of Carr, Beersheba, Happy Hall, Long Ground, “Rocks Hall”/Flint Valley that make up Beersheba Primary School Community, wish to commend Hon. J. C. Hutchinson, Member of Parliament NW Saint Elizabeth, Minister Without Portfolio and Councillor Richard Solomon, Member Saint Elizabeth Municipal Corporation New Market Parochial Division, for keeping their commitment that they made to their Constituents, to use heavy duty equipment and manual labour to resurface the roadway from the intersection of the bye-pass road at Carr District in the vicinity of Valdes Hamilton Grocery Shop up to Holness Corner and the meandering steep roadway at the narrow hairpin bend supported by a lengthy high retaining wall to intersect with the paved section of the roadway at Pear Tree/”Rocks Hall” that was previously done.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) and other Stakeholders in Beersheba Primary School Community, are hopeful that resurfacing of Beersheba/Flint Valley Parochial Road that began on October 16, 2019, is a positive signal that the peoples political representatives named herein, will take appropriate action to ensure that this road is included in the Capital Works Programme so as to ensure that work on the roadway will continue from the cul-de-sac at Noel Walker (deceased) property at Flint Valley through fertile agricultural farm lands at “Cooper Hill” to Tatewood where it will intersect and culminate with Tatewood/Pisgah Parochial Road in keeping with the vision of Hon. Neville C. Lewis (deceased), former Jamaica Labour Party Member of Parliament NW Saint Elizabeth, Minister of Communication and Works. It is the innovation and intuitiveness of the deceased Government Minister that Beersheba/Flint Valley Parochial Road constructed was constructed to serve the  farming community and bread basket that supports the famous thriving Sunday – Tuesday Market at Lewisville, New Market, Saint Elizabeth.
