While there is certainly not much that members of Beersheba Old Students association (BOSA) can do or say to ease the pain, grief, sorrow and loss that each family member of the deceased is feeling at this time, Beersheba Primary School Alumni in Jamaica and throughout the Diaspora, wish to convey our sincere condolence to all members of the Smith family with respect to the sudden and tragic loss of Vivian your beloved.

Like his father Victor, “Mass Victor”, “Mass Vic”, the legacy that Vivian, Beersheba Primary School Alumnus, has left behind and it is indelibly etched in our subliminal consciousness, is memory of a humble, hardworking and caring family man whose love and concern for others will not be forgotten.

How best Vivian can also be remembered? Vivian can also be remembered through the same characteristics that are found in “Mass Victor” his father. “Mass Victor’s concern and sacrifice beyond the call of duty to Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) in the office of 1st Vice President of the Association cannot be replicated.

Cognizant of the Association’s Mission to do all it can to work assiduously in the interest and welfare of students – past and present – who reside in the impoverished Beersheba Primary School Community, notwithstanding the fact that the Association like a ship that has been rocked and battered on the stormy seas because of its unwavering and steadfast commitment to be vigilant and resilient in fighting for underprivileged poverty stricken children so as to help them excel academically, “Mass Victor” has never flinched, jumped ship or abandoned those of us who were on board the ship with him.

How can Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) forget Vivian’s mother Adina Brown Smith, “Miss Dine” who pre-deceased him. “Miss Dine”, another portrait of humility, charm, love grace, industriousness and compassion towards others, nurtured Vivian and taught him values that he is to perceive in people as human beings irrespective of their humble and lowly position in life. It is not surprising that Vivian became the family man who demonstrated to his loving and charming wife – another portrait of love, humility, industriousness and concern for other people – the characteristics that he observed in his mother.

When you are troubled, worried and sad at heart and your plans are upset by tragedy and your world has fallen apart, remember, God is ready and waiting to share the burden you find too heavy to bear.
Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) wishes to assure all family members as you continue in the days ahead to mourn the loss of your love one that: The Eternal God is your Refuge and underneath are His Everlasting Arms.
