Administration At Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) Defies Prime Minister’s Directive To Fly The Jamaican Flag At Half Mast During Five Days of National Mourning In Memory Of The Late Nelson Mandela

Notwithstanding the directive given by The Most Honourable Portia Simpson-Miller, Prime Minister of Jamaica that the Jamaican Flag should be flown at half mast on all government buildings during the period of five days of National Mourning in memory of the late Nelson Mandela (1918-2013), Freedom Fighter, Global Icon and Legend, and First Black President of South Africa from Saturday, December 7 – Wednesday, December 11, 2013; credible information that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) has received from several stakeholders in Beersheba Primary School Community up to late on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, has disclosed that the Jamaican Flag has not been flown at the school in keeping with the Prime Minister’s directive.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) in expressing its concern about the defiance of the Administration at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) to the Prime Minister’s directive, contends that the latest defiance by the Administration, has now become an entrenched pattern and culture at the institution that has left Beersheba Primary School Community, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies deeply flabbergasted.
