BOSA Seeks Answer From Chairman School Board Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) Regarding Alleged Employment of the PTA President And Member Of The School Board And The School Board Representative On The Managing Committee James Richards Educational Trust Fund As A Member Of The School’s Ancillary Staff (Canteen Cook)

As a result of credible information that has come to the attention of Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) regarding the alleged employment of Nickesha Lawrence as a member of the Ancillary Staff (Canteen Cook) at Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased), in light of offices currently held by Miss Lawrence as President of the School’s PTA and Member of the School Board and the School Board representative on the Managing Committee for James Richards Educational Trust Fund, Beersheba Old Students Association has sent an e-mail message to Rev. Phyllis Smith-Seymour, Chairman School Board Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) asking the School Board to:

 
1.    Advise the Association in writing, whether or not the alleged employment has taken place.

 
2.    Advise the Association in writing, whether or not the alleged employment is tantamount to conflict of interest and bears semblance of nepotism.

 
Copies of the e-mail message dated October 25, 2013 that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) has dispatched to the Chairman School Board Beersheba Primary School (Government Leased) has been forwarded to Mrs. Nadine G. Leachman, Regional Director, Region 5, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Elaine Foster-Allen, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Maureen Dwyer, Chief Inspector, National Education Inspectorate, Ministry of Education, Ms. Merris Murray, Executive Director, National Council on Education, Ms. Grace McLean, Chief Education Officer, Ministry of Education, and Mr. J. C. Hutchinson, Member of Parliament North West Saint Elizabeth for their information and perusal.
