Thanksgiving Service for Dorcas Gertrude Alexandria Green, 105 years – Black River oldest centenarian – foundation member and longest serving elder of Holiness Christian Church, was held at the Church which is located  on Central Road, Black River, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies on Friday, September 20, 2013.

Ernest Collins – who was among seven persons who were baptized to start the church in 1955 – in his tribute, spoke of the late Doris Green’s commitment and loyalty to the church. Several other tributes lauded the deceased for her philanthropy and caring concern for those who were unable to fend for themselves.

The deceased leaves behind Sylvia, her only surviving sister, sons Leroy Crooks, Dr. Ernie Salmon. M.D...
