CDC Advisory Travel Report From Jamaica To The USA – Vincent Samuels

READ THIS CDC ADVISORY CAREFULLY SO THAT YOU DO NOT GET STUCK AT THE AIRPORT IN JAMAICA NEXT TIME YOU TRAVEL

All travelers from to the USA are asked to note that the Center For Disease Control (CDC) has issued an Order that makes it mandatory for each person travelling from Jamaica to the USA must produce proof that he/she has done the PCR COVID-19 Test not more than three (3) days before he/she is ready to travel and that the test is negative. Persons who fail to produce test results to airline agents on demand will not be allowed to board the aircraft. The CDC Order takes effect on January 26, 2021.

It is with mixed feeling of joy and sorrow that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announces the home going of Carmen Elfreda Farquharson-Campbell, age 80 plus years,  on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 7:30 AM. Ms. Carmen is a Beersheba Elementary School Alumna and housewife from Flint Valley, New Market, Saint Elizabeth,  and Saint Ann’s Bay, Jamaica West Indies, and was living in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA,  when she passed.

Mixed feeling of joy is felt by all Beersheba Elementary and Primary School Alumni in Jamaica and the Diaspora, because Carmen is relieved from her bodily aches and discomforts and she is gone home to be with her Lord.

New COVID Pre-Testing Requirement for Some United States Visitors

Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced new COVID pretesting requirements for visitors to Jamaica from high-risk US States.  At a press conference at Jamaica House on Monday, Holness said as of July 10, 2020 people visiting Jamaica from Florida, New York, Arizona and Texas must upload the results of their COVID tests to the visitjamaica website before their landing may be approved.

The test must not be older than seven days before the date of travel.  According to Holness, Jamaica has to implement the measure as it prepares to welcome more people to the Island.  He says the country is now expecting 22 flights a day with 1680 passengers.
