Long Ground And Adjoining Districts, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies Mourns Passing Of Ransford “Razor” “Rennie” Smith – Vincent Samuels

 

The hilly peasant farming terrain of Long Ground and adjoining districts, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies, was plunged into mourning on the afternoon of December 2, 2013 following the sudden passing of Ransford “Razor “Rennie” Smith while he was being transported to Black River Public General Hospital.

Ransford, Beersheba Primary School Alumnus, who suffers from asthma, fell ill at his sister Euda Dennis residence at Lewisville, New Market, Saint Elizabeth where he resided since she became a widow, will be sadly missed by his brother Herman “Slim” Smith (USA) for whom he was Caretaker for the house he built at Happy Grove, New Market, Saint Elizabeth.

Ransford whose parents Reginald and Myrtle Smith predeceased him many years ago, leaves behind his siblings Ezekiel “Hezie”, Headley “Nubba” Euda, several nephews, nieces and and other relatives, friends, and neighbours to mourn his loss.

Funeral Service for Ransford “Rennie” ‘Razor” will be held at Beersheba Moravian Church, Carr District, New Market, Saint Elizabeth on Saturday, December 14, 2013 commencing at 1:00PM. Internment will be done in the family plot at Long Ground,”Rocks Hall”, New Market, Saint Elizabeth.
