BOSA Announces The Home Going Of Nora Delores Kirlew-Lawrence – Vincent Samuels

It is indeed with much sad regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announces the home going of Nora Delores Kirlew-Lawrence (Kitty), age 67 years, Beersheba Primary School Alumna and Retired Acting Principal of New Roads All Age School, Westmoreland from Flint Valley, Saint Elizabeth and New Works, Westmoreland, Jamaica West Indies.

Mrs. Lawrence with whom the writer of this obituary conversed on the telephone for over one hour from her home the day before his recent departure from Jamaica on February 1, 2018, about the work that Beersheba Old Students (BOSA) has been doing over the years as safety net and monitor for financially challenged students from Beersheba Primary School Community; passed away peacefully at Savanna-la-mar Public Hospital, Westmoreland, Jamaica West indies on Monday, February 26, 2018.

Mrs. Lawrence whose parents Roland and Jemima (Miss Jim) Kirlew, peasant farmer and housewife respectively, predeceased her many years ago; leaves behind her beloved husband Raphael, children Marvin, Stacy-Ann, Clayton, Shedrick and Dean,  siblings  “Honey”, Maureen,  Bunny and nephew Richard.

Beersheba Primary School Alumni in Jamaica and the Diaspora and members of her closely-knit church family to grieve and mourn her passing.

Mrs. Lawrence who is remembered for her keen interest and philanthropy to financially challenged students who graduated from Beersheba Primary School her alma mater and are presently enrolled in high schools, was featured sometime ago on BOSA website as an Achiever and Trailblazer from the impoverished peasant farming Beersheba Primary School Community who cognizant of the motto of her alma mater: ONLY THE BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH, has excelled in academia.

Thanksgiving Service for the life of Mrs. Nora  Delores “Kitty” Lawrence will be held at the New Works Church of God of Prophecy, New Works, Westmoreland on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the family plot at New Works.
