Implementation Of Turn Around Strategy Brings Out Top Performers At Beersheba Primary School – Vincent Samuels

Against the backdrop of autocratic draconian management style and oligarchy tyrannical rule at Beersheba Primary School that resulted in parents removing their children from the school to New Roads All Age School, Westmoreland; Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) is pleased to announce that the Comparative Analysis of problems that caused steady migration of students from the school that was done by Dr. Trevor Hamilton, Management Consultant and Beersheba Primary School Alumnus and implantation of the turn around strategy by the new administration at the school has brought out top performing students at the school.

With Mrs. Michele Sanderson, Acting Principal now in charge of the academic teaching staff and ancillary workers at the school, gone are the days when parents and members of the public walking along Beersheba/Flint Valley Parochial Road could hear colloquial yells and screams that the former Principal who is now retired used as her autocratic draconian management style to discipline students.

An integral part of the turn around strategy that has been implemented by the new administration at Beersheba Primary School, emanated from Town Hall Meetings that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) took the initiative to convene in certain key districts in Beersheba Primary School Community. These meetings that are attended by the former Principal of the school, provided parents with a forum in which they lucidly expressed themselves and spoke openly about the “divide and rule tactics” that was adversely affecting student population at the school.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) wishes to commend Mrs. Michele Sanderson, Acting Principal at Beersheba Primary School for her management style that is building bridges between members of the academic teaching staff and ancillary workers on the one hand and the Parents Association and Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) – two invaluable stakeholders at the school – on the other hand. The Acting Principal of the school must be lauded for here innovation in perceiving students at the school as valuable human resources and taking appropriate action to recognize their self-worth.
