BOSA Announces The Home Going of Uda Beatrice Smith-Dennis “Sister Dennis” – Vincent Samuels

uda-smith-dennisIt’s with much sad regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announces the home going of Uda Beatrice Smith-Dennis “Sister Dennis” age 78 years, Beersheba Primary School Alumnus of Long Ground District, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, England and Lewisville, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies.

Uda, the only daughter born to her parents Reginald and Myrtle Smith, Farmer and Housewife respectively, and wife of her childhood sweetheart Cecil Horatio Dennis who predeceased her many years ago; passed away peacefully in Black River Public General Hospital 4:30PM on August 20, 2015 after she was admitted to the institution after she fell ill at her home at Lewisville.

Uda leaves behind siblings Headley “Nubba”, Herman “Slim” (USA), Alman “Chuckie” (USA) and Hezekiah “Hezzie”; children: Michael, Bev, Calvin, Erol, Janet, Linda and Carol; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, other family members, relatives and friends and her church family at the New Testament Church of God at New Savannah, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West indies.

Thanksgiving Service for the life of Uda Beatrice Smith-Dennis “Sister Dennis”, will be held at the New Testament Church of God, New Savannah, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Wednesday, September 2, 2.00 pm.

Uda’s body is at Brown & Son’s Funeral Parlour Limited, Black River, they are responsible for complete funeral arrangement.  Her body will be flown to England where she will be laid to rest in keeping with the wish of her children.
