VINCENT PICS-2Moyka Cameron, Valedictorian

History was made by 12 year old Moyka Cameron, Valedictorian and the student who delivered the Vote of Thanks, as the student from Beersheba Primary School who for the first time since James Richards Educational Scholarship Fund was established at the school, she is the qualified beneficiary from Carr District, New Market, Saint Elizabeth – birthplace of James “Dick” Richards, Donor and Trustor of the Scholarship – as one of the best performing student whose tuition fees will be paid by James Richards Educational Trust Fund directly to Hampton School.

Focusing on the theme: Education is the key; hold on, the sky is your limit! Mr. Comrie told the graduating class and parents that:

A key is important to students to open all education doors in life and they should ensure that they do not lose it or break it because they will need it when they graduate from high school to enroll in Tertiary Institutions and Universities.
 Parents must follow their children to familiarize themselves with progress that they are making in high schools.
 Parents must journey with their children and they should not only go to schools to see teachers when things go wrong but they should also go to schools to meet the teachers when things are going well.

Turning his attention to members of the Academic Teaching Staff under the leadership of Mrs. Tatlin E. Smith-Williams, Principal of the School, Mr. Comrie urged them not to be discouraged in doing well and that they should remember that although Beersheba Primary School Community is unable to tangibly reward them for their dedicated and faithful service, God the Master Teacher would reward them.
