BOSA Announces The Home Going of Grace “Miss Manda” Graham – Vincent Samuels

Manda Graham

It is again with much deep regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) announces the home going of another Alumna of Beersheba Primary School. This time it is Grace “Miss Manda” Graham of Flint Valley, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies, widow of the late Frank “Mass Frankie” Graham, Butcher who predeceased her many years ago.

“Miss Manda” – housewife and haggler extraordinaire – as she is affectionately known by everyone in the Flint Valley Community, passed away peacefully in the female surgical ward at Black River Public General Hospital at 9:00AM on May 15, 2015 the month in which she was born.

“Miss Manda” 83 years old, despite Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) that affected her fingers for over eight years, she never ceased from being the busy housewife she has always been; washing her clothes, doing other household chores and moving briskly around the yard.
“Miss Manda’s industrious activities was drastically curtailed on May 3, 2015 when she was suddenly affected by a mild Trans Ischemic Attack (TIA) – mild stroke that disfigured her tongue and facial muscles and retarded her speech. She was rushed to Black River Public General Hospital where she was admitted and cared for. However, despite the excellent care that she received from Medical Nursing and Ancillary Staff at the hospital, she succumbed to her brief illness.

“Miss Manda” leaves behind her only son Raphael and several other family members and relatives to grieve and mourn her loss.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) on behalf of all Beersheba Primary School Alumni in Jamaica, the USA, Canada, England, and elsewhere in the Diaspora wishes to convey sincere condolence to all family members, relatives and friends of the deceased as they grieve and mourn their loss.

Thanksgiving Service for the life of Grace “Miss Manda” Graham will be held Friday, June 5, 2015, 10:00 am at New Market Methodist Church, New Market, Saint Elizabeth, interment in the family plot at Flint Valley.
