Vivian Smith at work 3

It is indeed with a feeling of sadness and regret that Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) has learned of the sudden home going of Vivian Smith, first child and one of two sons of Victor Smith “Mass Victor” – famous Butcher in Beersheba/New Market Community – and his wife Adina Brown-Smith “Miss Dine” (deceased), his dear wife who is a Trained Teacher and Guidance Counselor at New Roads All Age School, Westmoreland and Beersheba Primary School Alumnus.

Unconfirmed report that has reached Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA), states that Vivian Smith who was picking apples as a Seasonal Farm Worker that is employed on an Orchard at Niagara Falls under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Overseas Farm Work Programme, complained to his coworker after lunch that he felt sleepy. Unconfirmed report further states that Vivian was walking on the Orchard with his coworker when he fainted and collapsed on the ground. A call was made to 911 to render medical assistance but when Paramedics arrived, they pronounced Vivian dead.

Beersheba Old Students Association (BOSA) wishes to assure Victor Smith “Mass Victor” – 1st Vice President of the Association – and all other relatives of the deceased, that Beersheba Primary School Alumni in Jamaica and the Diaspora empathize with them and do feel their pain as they grieve the loss of their love one.

While there is not much more we can say or do to minimize their pain, we wish to comfort them with the thought that: The Eternal God Whose ways are pass finding out and comprehending; is still their God and Refuge and underneath them are His Everlasting arms.

Thanksgiving Service for the life of Vivian Smith will be held at New Market Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 commencing at 10:00 AM, internment in family plot at Jack’s Gate.
